App Features
Learn about the app's core functionality
Yes, LingoCrush is available for both iOS and is coming soon to Android devices. Download it from the Apple App Store for iOS devices or Google Play Store for Android devices.
Free users are limited to 3 free rounds daily. This limit resets at midnight in your local time zone. Upgrade to Premium for unlimited gameplay rounds and many other benefits!
You can switch languages by tapping the language button on the main menu screen, or by going to your Profile and selecting "Switch Language". Free users can only study one language per day, while Premium users can switch between languages anytime with no restrictions.
Make sure your device's sound is turned on and that you have enabled sound in the app settings. You can toggle sound on/off using the speaker icon at the top of the game screen. Also, check that you have given the app permission to use audio if prompted by your device.
Enhanced voice quality uses high-definition audio files instead of text-to-speech for better pronunciation. Premium users can enable this feature in Settings. It requires downloading audio files, which will use some storage space on your device but provides a more natural, native-speaker sound.
Gameplay
How to play and improve your score
LingoCrush gameplay has two phases per round. First, you'll see the "Hit List" screen showing word or phrase pairs to memorize, with a 15-second countdown to study them. Then, in the gameplay phase, words will fall from the top of the screen. Tap the falling words that match the target word shown at the top. You earn points for correct matches and lose lives for incorrect ones. Each round is quick and engaging, allowing you to complete levels and progressively build your vocabulary!
The Hit List is a pre-game screen that shows you the words you'll encounter in the upcoming level. It gives you a chance to memorize the word pairs before they start falling. Premium users can adjust how long this screen displays in Settings for a more customized experience.
You earn 10 points for each correct word match and lose 5 points for each incorrect selection. Your score is saved at the end of each level and contributes to your overall progress tracking and achievements.
Premium users can adjust the difficulty level in Settings. There are three difficulty levels: Easy (5 lives), Normal (3 lives), and Hard (1 life). The harder the difficulty, the more points you'll earn! Each difficulty level also affects how quickly words fall and how many appear simultaneously.
When you complete a level, you'll see a summary screen showing your score, new words learned, and any achievements you've unlocked. Your progress is saved, and you can continue to the next level. As you progress, you'll encounter more challenging words and faster gameplay.

Languages & Learning
Language options and learning methodology
LingoCrush currently offers over 20 languages, including Spanish, French, Japanese, German, Italian, Chinese (Mandarin), Russian, Arabic, Korean, Portuguese, and many more. We regularly add new languages based on user requests and demand.
LingoCrush uses a game-based approach that focuses on high-frequency vocabulary first. Instead of traditional grammar drills, we help you learn words and phrases through engaging gameplay and repeated exposure. This natural approach mirrors how we acquire our first language, making learning more intuitive and enjoyable.
Learning progress varies by individual, but playing LingoCrush for just 5-10 minutes daily can help you memorize hundreds of new words and phrases within a few months. Our unique language encounter system ensures you review words at optimal intervals for long-term retention. Consistency is key — short, regular sessions are more effective than occasional long ones.
Yes! Premium users can switch between multiple languages at any time. Free users can change their target language once per day. While you can learn multiple languages simultaneously with LingoCrush, we recommend focusing on one or two languages at a time for optimal results, especially if they're from different language families.
LingoCrush introduces new vocabulary gradually based on your progress. Words are carefully sequenced from most common to less frequent, ensuring you learn the most useful words first. As you master basic vocabulary, more challenging words and phrases are introduced. This adaptive approach keeps you in the optimal learning zone - challenged but not overwhelmed.
